DakTech Desktop Computer & Server Warranty
DakTech offers an industry-best seven-year warranty (exceptions: three years on monitor, one year on tape back-ups) on ALL DakTech Desktop computers & servers. DakTech warrants that all components within the computer and mouse and keyboard, will be free from defects in materials along with the workmanship for a period of seven years. DakTech will repair or replace products covered under this limited warranty. Our seven year warranty covers both parts and labor. You can be assured that your investment in DakTech's systems will be protected. DakTech's seven year warranty includes paying for shipping of parts to and from your location. Replacement parts for our signature line of computers are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of shipment by DakTech or until the expiration date of the original seven-year limited warranty, whichever is longer.
DakTech’s PlaidBook Warranty
PlaidBook notebooks are guaranteed under warranty for 3 years from date of purchase. (the notebook battery is covered for 1 year). The warranty covers both parts and labor. This warranty covers the PlaidBook under normal usage. In addition, a PlaidBook Equipment Protection (Accidental) warranty is included with every PlaidBook purchase. The warranty is void upon any unauthorized servicing, disassembly or modifications.
Daktech Plaidbook Accident Protection Plan
Accidents happen! Did you know that screen damage or spillage repairs may cost up to $700 or more? With DakTech’s PlaidBook Protection Plan coverage, repairing damage caused by accidental spills, drops, power surges and other accidents is covered at no additional cost to you. And if we can't repair your computer, we'll replace it. DakTech's Product Protection Plan covers the entire system.

How is the repair/replacement handled?
Step 1: Preparation
Note the product serial number on the bottom of your system.
Prior to any DakTech PlaidBook Protection Plan or repair, you need to backup the data on your hard drive to avoid data loss.
Step 2: Placing a claim
Call DakTech at 1 800 325-3238 or email us at techsupport@daktech.com.
Step 3: Return to DakTech
Return the unit to DakTech per the instructions/ paperwork provided by DakTech.
DakTech Computer Peripherals/Accessories/Parts Warranty
All parts are guaranteed under warranty to be free from defects for 365 days after delivery. DakTech's obligation is limited to furnishing, on an exchange basis, replacements for parts which have been reported defective.
DakTech warranties do not cover damages resulting from alterations, assembly, negligence, accidents, misuse, abuse, improper power source, improper operating environment, or repairs and services rendered by anyone other than a service representative authorized by DakTech, Inc., or perils such as war, fire, theft, water or vandalism.
These warranties are valid only within the United States and apply only to merchandise which is new and in original, unopened packaging on the date of purchase.
DakTech, Inc., reserves the right to substitute functionally equivalent new or serviceable used parts. DakTech's responsibility is limited to repair, replacement, credit or refund, any or which may be selected by DakTech at its sole discretion.
If you have purchased on-site service from a DakTech-authorized third-party provider, such service will be provided for a period of one (1) year from the date of invoice or for such other period(s) as provided in your on-site service contract with the third party.

Everything you buy from DakTech, Inc., comes with a 30-day Total Satisfaction Guarantee. If you decide within 30 days that you would like to return your purchase for any reason, we'll give you a full merchandise refund or exchange. We only ask that your return be complete and in new condition with all original packaging. Items returned incomplete may be assessed a restocking fee. Here's what to do:

Package the item(s) you're returning securely and ship by UPS or Federal Express.
Your return shipment must be prepaid. No C.O.D. deliveries accepted.
For the fastest service, write your Return Authorization number on a label or on the box. It normally takes three weeks to receive your return and process it completely.
