DakTech® warrants that all components within the computer as well as the mouse and keyboard, will be free from defects in materials along with the workmanship, for a period of 7 years. DakTech® will repair or replace the parts that are covered under this limited warranty. Our 7 year warranty covers both parts and labor. DakTech's® 7 year warranty includes paying for shipping of parts to and from your location. Replacement parts are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of shipment by DakTech® or until the expiration date of the original 7 year limited warranty, whichever is longer.
PlaidBook® & PlaidMate® Laptops: 3 Year ProductPlaidBook® notebooks are guaranteed under warranty for 3 years from date of purchase. (the notebook battery is covered for 1 year). This warranty covers the PlaidBook® under normal usage. The warranty covers both parts and labor. DakTech® warrants that all components within the laptop, will be free from defects in materials along with the workmanship for a period of 3 years. DakTech® will repair or replace the parts that are covered under this limited warranty. Our 3 year laptop warranty covers both parts and labor. DakTech's® 3 year warranty includes paying for shipping of parts to and from your location. Replacement parts are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of shipment by DakTech® or until the expiration date of the original 3 year limited warranty, whichever is longer.
PlaidBook® & PlaidMate® Laptops: 3 Year AccidentalSituations covered by the DakTech® Accidental Protection Plan:
* Liquid spilled on or in unit
* Drops, falls, and other collisions
* Electrical surge
* Damage or broken LCD due to a drop or fall
* Accidental breakage (multiple pieces)
* Note: PlaidMate & PlaidLet - One (1) repair or replacement for accidental damage per warranty period.
* Note: Qualifying PlaidBooks - One (1) repair or replacement for accidental damage per rolling 12 month period.
Situations NOT covered by the DakTech® Accidental Protection Plan:
*Damage in a fire
*Intentional damage
*Theft
*Normal wear (does not affect system performance)
How to make a claim against our Accidental Protection Plan:
Step1: Note the product serial number on the bottom of your system.
(Prior to any DakTech® PlaidBook® Protection Plan or repair, please backup your hard drive data to avoid data loss)
Step2: Call DakTech® at 1 800 325-3238 or email us at techsupport@daktech.com.
Step3: Return the unit to DakTech® per the instructions/paperwork provided by DakTech®.
Additional Information
DakTech® warranties do not cover damages resulting from alterations, assembly, negligence, accidents, misuse, abuse, improper power source, improper operating environment, or repairs and services rendered by anyone other than a service representative authorized by DakTech® Inc., or perils such as war, fire, theft, water or vandalism.
Manufacturer' s warranties will apply to any 3rd party systems, appliances or parts that are non DakTech, PlaidBook, PlaidMate, PlaidLet or PlaidStor branded systems.
DakTech® Inc., reserves the right to substitute functionally equivalent new or serviceable used parts. DakTech's® responsibility is limited to repair, replacement, credit or refund, any of which may be selected by DakTech® at its sole discretion.
If you have purchased on-site service from a DakTech® authorized third party provider, such service will be provided for a period of one (1) year from the date of invoice or for such other period(s) as provided in your on-site service contract with the third party.
